Yes – equity or debt crowdfunding is a regulated activity in EU. While The European Commission is working on unifying the regulatory rules to help funders and businesses seize the potential of crowdfunding and make it easier for platforms to offer their services EU-wide. Each country across the world has specific regulations regarding the adoption of equity / debt crowdfunding.

The main law regulating the crowdfunding activity in Lithuania (where PrivateCrowd is located) is The Law on Crowdfunding of the Republic of Lithuania. The law of a foreign state may be applicable to the Loan Agreements or related documents. 

PrivateCrowd is operated by UAB Bourgeois Boheme Fintech which is being registered into the Public list of Crowdfunding Platform Operators administered by the Bank of Lithuania (more information can be found in here).
